Who is The Small Biz Helper?
She’s Vonetta Booker-Brown, and she’s got the entrepreneurial thing in her blood! After enjoying much success in the virtual assistance, writing and web design fields, Booker-Brown began The Small Biz Helper as a way to help business owners navigate their way through the often tricky maze of starting and running a business.
During more than 10 years in the service and small business industries, Booker-Brown has worked with businesses of all sizes both nationally and internationally, including corporations such as:
• Weekly Reader Corporation
• Pitney Bowes
• John Frieda
• Essence Communications
• CB Commercial
• UBS Warburg
• Southern Connecticut State University
As an enthusiastic advocate of entrepreneurship and doing what one loves (of course!), Booker-Brown is a member of various business groups, including Coachville and the National Association of Female Executives. As an accomplished writer, her articles on business and other topics have appeared throughout print and online media.
In her spare time, Booker-Brown enjoys open-mic spoken word, “serious” karaoke competitions and trading witty barbs with the unseen in online discussion forums. She and her husband are parents-to-be who reside in southern Connecticut.
